Prep Day

My name is David Temple. I’m about to embark on a journey that I am certain will change my life forever.

Starting Monday morning, May 19th, likely around 6 am, I am going to begin building my new B4L, or Body For Life. My dear friend, and partner in health, wealth and spirituality, Chris “Guns” Ramsey, will be by fitness partner on this new journey.

In case you haven’t heard of Body For Life, the program and original contest was founded by Bill Phillips, the original founder of the program, and now, according to his “new & improved website“, doing more than just transforming bodies. It seems that now, Bill is transforming from the inside.

Yet, I digress.

As I said, beginning Monday, Chris and I are going to begin our 12-week journey to a new body. Chris’ wife and children will soon see a new husband and daddy. As for me, I hope my friends will see what some dogged determination, focused discipline, and belief in oneself can result in.

It will be the toughest 12 weeks of my life. The early morning workouts. The 6 (small) meals a day. The constant resisting of temptation; my main weaknesses are beer & potato chips, and Chris’ is sweets and Mexican food. But we will overcome, because it will be worth it. 

This weekend? I’m gorging myself on wings, chips and beer, while stocking my fridge with chicken, eggs, and tons of veggies.

The COUNTDOWN begins…Here we come, August 18th!
